Angel of Mine; A scent inspired by missing childlike innocence

Angel of Mine; A scent inspired by missing childlike innocence

Oh angel of mine. So sweet and divine.

Harmed at such a peak of innocence. I ache for what I could not protect.

You sit inside of me with your wings spread wide. I shield you from the world.

My angel, I don't want them to hurt you again.

So sweet and you linger on my skin drawing something tender from me that I dare not lose.

I am your shield, your shelter.

With you I am gentle.

---

I'd love to bring you into the creative process for this scent. Angel of mine is chapter one in a story about my life, as the founder and perfumer.

Each layer like the poem has significance.

I first started smelling fragrances I loved that were sweet, citrusy, musky and that had a clean linen quality.

Some of my inspirations were:

Bal D' Afrique by Byredo (citrus and musk)

Arabian Musk Oils (skin-like warmth)

Solar Canopy by Future Society (child-like fruitiness)

I'm a musk by Fine'ry (its balance of cotton candy sweetness with musk)

---

I took my favorite parts to develop my notes:

Top: Opening tart and juvenile think "first their sour, then they're sweet"

It signifies innocence.

Mid: Florals (my signature I will always love florals) spinning in a cotton candy cloud.

The floral signify maturity.

Base: Sweet creamy musk (my personal favorite)

As the scent lingers on the skin you notice its changed. The cotton candy sweetness a burst is still there but not as apparent and the innocence is now gone.

Things are great in concept, but you have to consider what's available on the market and affordable.

This is how we ended up with a beautifully delicate formula with so much meaning behind it.

The little angel in me motivates me to make this formula and I hope it helps you get intouch with the child-like innocence within you and embrace it don't fear it; protect it.
